At Schnell Drone Technologies Ltd., we are committed to sustainable innovation, reducing industrial carbon footprints, and minimising electronic waste. As a certified manufacturer of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and drone systems, we strictly adhere to the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 and the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022 under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) mandates.
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, operators and other stakeholders who handle company equipment.

Safe disposal guidelines
End-of-life drones, components and lithium batteries contain hazardous materials such as lead, cadmium and lithium, which pose environmental and health risks if disposed of improperly. All end-of-life equipment and batteries should be segregated from general waste and handed over through authorised collection centres, recyclers or other approved waste-management channels.
Do
- Separate end-of-life drones and batteries from everyday domestic trash.
- Hand over retired equipment to authorised collection centres or the recycler network.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the handling, storage, transportation and disposal of batteries.
Do not
- Do not dispose of batteries or electronic components in regular municipal waste bins.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or incinerate Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) or Li-ion batteries yourself.
- Do not sell e-waste to unauthorised scrap dealers or informal collectors.

Drone propulsion batteries require specialised handling.
Protection against short circuit
Do not throw loose batteries into a drawer with metal items such as paperclips, coins or tools — contact can cause a short circuit and spark a fire.
Charging
Batteries shall be charged only using compatible, approved charging equipment and in accordance with the battery and charger manufacturer's specifications.
Battery records
Appropriate records of battery charging, usage, inspection, maintenance and relevant incidents shall be maintained to support safe battery lifecycle management. Maintaining charging information logs is of utmost importance.
Charging parameters
Charging current, voltage, charging mode and other parameters shall be maintained within the manufacturer's specified limits. Charging shall not be performed using unauthorised or incompatible chargers.
Damaged batteries
Store damaged or swollen LiPo or Li-ion batteries in a cool, fire-resistant container away from flammable materials.

Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliance
Schnell Drone Technologies Limited certifies that all electronic hardware, flight controllers, ESCs, sensors and circuit boards manufactured and distributed by us comply with the permissible limits for hazardous substances as prescribed by regulatory authorities.

Regulatory compliance & governance
This Waste Management & Battery Disposal Policy forms part of Schnell Drone Technologies Limited's environmental and sustainability framework and supports the Company's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives.
The Company shall periodically review this policy to ensure that its waste-management practices remain aligned with applicable statutory requirements, regulatory changes, manufacturer recommendations and recognised environmental-management practices.
All employees, contractors, operators and other relevant stakeholders are expected to follow the applicable waste-management and battery-safety procedures while handling Company equipment.

Important notice
This policy provides general guidance for responsible waste and battery management. For detailed procedures and instructions relating to the safe handling, storage, transportation and disposal of UAVs, batteries and associated components, please refer to the User Manual provided with the respective product.
All disposal activities shall be carried out in accordance with the applicable laws, regulatory requirements, authorised recycler or collection-centre procedures, and the manufacturer's technical and safety instructions.
